Is Milk Good for Us or Not?


Milk is the natural supplement for making our body strong and helps the body to function properly. It has many health benefits but many researchers claim that the milk is not good for health as it has lactose in it which can cause bloating, digestion problems and gas.  Let us see whether it has more pros or cons.

Milk is the first food of every child. It contains all the nutrients, fats, protein, iron etc. which are very necessary for the proper functioning of the child and helps the child to grow properly. Mother’s milk is more suitable for the new born and doctors also suggests that. We can see many powder milk in the market i.e. solution milk which is used as the alternative of mother’s milk.

As it is important for the new born to consume milk in the same way it is equally important for the grown up to consume milk as it makes the bone strong because it has calcium in it which is very important for the bones. It also has vitamin D in it which help to regulate the immune system. It helps the brain to function properly as it contains all the basic nutrients. If a person is on diet, he can still consume milk by removing most of the fats from it.

Milk is the local food and it is easily available in the market. It is of many kinds

  • Low-fat Milk
  • Fat Free Milk (Skim Milk)
  • Organic Milk
  • Lactose-Free Milk
  • Flavored Milk
  • Raw Milk

These were some of the benefits of the milk but if we look into its cons we’ll get to know that milk contain lactose which is not suitable for some people as they can’t digest lactose. This makes them unhealthy. It can cause the indigestion, bloating and gastric problems.

Milk contain fats which can make the person fat and unfit if he consumes it in a large amount.

Everything has some advantages as well some disadvantages. Milk is the gift from ALLAH if it is utilized in limit amount and properly. As it is well said that excess of everything is bad so we should consume milk in limited amount that our body needs.
